  1. What is the price of hot-dip galvanization service?

Hot-dip galvanization service is calculated in EUR/kg. The price is lower than the price of quality painting, it is not fixed, and it depends from the shape of the element and the steel from which the element was made. For more detailed information, refer to our sale service. Contact

  1. Do we need to deliver a purchase order with frame description of materials when ordering?

Yes.

  1. What time does it take for you to galvanize the material?

Material is galvanized within three business days. In case that you previously contact sale service, you will be able to take over the galvanized elements on the same day when you bring the material.

  1. What is the size of the elements you can galvanize?

We are able to galvanize very large elements; maximum dimensions of elements for galvanizatio are:13,8 m x 1,7 m x 3,2 m (L x W x H). We also galvanize very small elements which we drive to centrifugal galvanization in a specialized zinc plant.

  1. How to prepare material for hot-dip galvanization?

For the beginning, you can look at the Choice and preparation of material on the webpage, and you can also download the instructions from the left side which you will find under title Download

  1. What an be used for protection of threads so they don’t become sealed during hot-dip galvanization?

Exterior threads can be protected with a special duct tape. The interior threads should be protected with heat-resistant paint, and you should clean the thread before painting it. The paint must dry. Attention should be paid to the fact that the paint catches fire during hot-dip galvanization and that ashes from the paint can stick to surrounding surfaces.

  1. What is the heat deformation of sheet?

Heat deformation of sheet is hard to estimate. It s more prominent in larger and thinner sheets which are welded into frame, longer pipes which are welded from multiple segments, asimetric structures and parts made from sheets with various thickness. You can find more detailed information under point 7 in the Instructions for construction or at our Technology service. Contact

  1. How thick the sheet must be in order for it not to bend during hot-dip galanization?

There are no rules. The ratio between thickness and surface of the sheet is important. The higher the thickness – the smaller the surface, means smaller danger from heat deformation. If the sheets are mutually welded or there are profiles with different thickness, the danger from thermal deformation increases significantly.

  1.  How thick is the zinc layer on the occasion of hot-dip galvanization?

The zinc layer on average varies from 50 to 100 micrometers, and it depends from the chemical composition of steel. You can find more precise information under point 11 of the Instructions for construction.

  1. What is passivization?

Passivization is a procedure of suvsequent treatment of zinc coating which aims to prevent occurence of white rust on freshly galvanized elements.

  1. What colors can we use for painting galvanized material?

Refer to a specialized trader with paints and lacquers about proper selection of colors. The surface must definitely be previously prepared according to the manufacturer’s instructions (clean from dust and grease), and then select the color for which the instructions state that it is appropriate for freshly galvanized surfaces.

  1. What are the advantages of hot-dip galvanization?
    -Economically justifiable,
-There is no dilemma about the quality,
    -Long-term resistance to corrosion,
    -No further maintenance is required,
    -Better resistance to mechanical damage,
-Enables placement of additional decorative paint coating and
-High resistance to corrosion under different circumstances.
